Lakota is a Rhodesian Ridgeback. The breed comes from Zimbabwe, Africa (formerly Rhodesia) and are known for their expertise in hunting lion (as well as other game).

Parents: Zohar (Ch Kwetu's Zohar of Kfira JC) and Casey (Kwetu's African Firedance).

Current Residence: Highland Park, IL

Current Weight: 73 lbs.

Lakota (Teton) the name is from one of three tribes of the Sioux Nation who lived from South Dakota up to Minnesota in North America. The other two tribes were The Dakotas (Santee) & The Nakotas (Wiciyela). The Da", "Na" & "La" were distinguishing factors in their speech.

The name means "The Friendly One".
